BARS Conference 2021

It's coming.........

1pm - 5pm on Friday 24th September

The BARS Virtual Conference 2021

Save the date!

BARS Council are pleased to announce that the 2021 BARS Conference will be held in a virtual format due to the uncertainty surrounding the present Covid-19 pandemic. This will be an exciting event (A first for BARS) and the BARS Council have been currently working on the agenda which will benefit anybody involved in diabetic eye screening.  The idea of a virtual conference was to ensure that people feel safe and to get people involved.  We are hoping to include the photography and poster competition as well as an OCT workshop too.  Full details of the agenda is available in the resources section below.  Registration will be required from the conferences page by clicking the link below.

The conference which was moved from last year to this year will now be moved to next year at the same venue and will held on the 22nd and 23rd September, 2022.  Delegates will be contacted in due course and offered a refund or for their booking to be carried over to next year.

Registration for the BARS Virtual Conference 2021 is now CLOSED!

You can now join BARS for free!

At the beginning of this year, BARS Council proposed a change to the association's constitution to allow for the annual membership fee to be abolished. BARS members voted overwhelmingly in favour of this proposal, and following an Extraordinary General Meeting on 6th February 2015, the change has been approved. This means that from 1st April 2015, there has been no charge to become an active member of the British Association of Retinal Screening.
