The Programme Management Meeting will take place before the 2017 Bars Conference, is FREE and open to anyone attending the main conference in a management or leadership role within a diabetic eye screening programme, including programme managers, clinical leads, administration/failsafe managers and team leaders.
The meeting will be presented by Beverley Tolley (Programme Manager - North & East Devon DESP) and will consist of two themes - Sharing best practice and facilitated networking.
All attendees will be asked to introduce themselves to the group and give a very brief (2 minutes) talk on what they feel they do well in their programme or new things they are working on or even a specific challenge their programme faces. This will then open the door to networking in the second half where all attendees will have the chance to speak to each other on a one to one basis, exchange good practice and promote further networking throughout the conference.
In addition to the themes above, there will also be a presentation by Mike Olsen on GP2DRS. With GP2DRS now being piloted at some DESPs, Mike will be explaining more about the service, what to expect, and how to plan for its arrival, as well as answering any questions you may have.
