Submissions are now invited for the 2017 BARS Conference in Leeds. If you would like to present a paper (10-15 minute presentation), poster (A0 portrait) or case study (5-7 minute presentation) at our annual conference, please fill in the application form and return it to us via post or email by 31st July 2017.
In addition to voucher prizes of £100, £50 and £25, we are offering a very special prize to the winner of this year's poster competition. The winning poster will be submitted to the 2018 EASDec Meeting (www.easdec.org) and the abstract considered for publication in the European Journal of Ophthalmology. Members of BARS Council will assist the author(s) with this submission process, and will provide one free place at the 2018 EASDec Meeting in Belfast, including travel and accommodation. In order to be eligible for this prize, your poster should not be a single case study.
Those wishing to present a single case study are encouraged to do so by means of a 5-7 minute presentation which will form part of the main conference programme. These always prove very popular with the audience and are a great introduction for those who may be new to presenting at conference. We will be offering voucher prizes of £100, £50 and £25 for the best three case study presentations.
In addition, papers chosen for presentation at this year's conference will be considered for publication in the Diabetic Eye Journal.
